Alexandra Park has been given an ‘establishing award’ in the South West in Bloom regional competition which is part of the Royal Horticultural Society’s annual ‘It’s your neighbourhood scheme’. 2011 was the first year in which Alexandra Park has entered the competition and the award recognises the progress that has been made setting up the Alexandra Park Forum and developing community activities. The Alexandra Park entry also helped Bath win Gold in the Tesco Cup and be declared overall category winner. A further entry will be made in 2012.
